Named in honor of the legendary Dr. Frank L. Horsfall Jr., our Horsfall mobile biocontainment enclosure celebrates the best of Dr. Horsfall’s original design—with the addition of clever innovations and modern electronics that make it better than ever.
When it comes to biocontainment, proper air flow and pressure control is key. With your Horsfall mobile biocontainment enclosure, you’ll have two reliable options:
- ZGet passive air flow and pressure control by connecting the enclosure directly to your facility's HVAC system
- ZChoose active, independent air control. We've drawn from our success in this area with our Isolation Cubicle system to provide a great air and filtration package that's both easy to use and simple to maintain
Bonus: Your Horsfall mobile biocontainment enclosure can even connect to fan and filter units from other vendors’ Individually Ventilated Cages (IVC).
To help you make the most of what you already have, we’ve ensured this dual-compartment design is compatible with most small/rack NHP housing. Swing open the wide front doors to the main cabinet, and you’ll find plenty of room for up to 5.4 sq.ft. of housing for rodents, rabbits, ferrets, marmosts, and more. (This enclosure also excels as a primate quarantine option for Group 3 and lower.)
Plus, thanks to its durable, easy-rolling caster wheels and secure pull handles, your new biosafety enclosure is easy to bring anywhere you need to go.

PULL HANDLES
Control your roll when you’re on the move through hallways and animal rooms.
REMOVABLE FAN / FILTER SYSTEM with BACK-UP POWER
Connects to 120V/15A power, but also has a battery inside for temporary/backup power. Includes a HEPA exhaust filter with pleated pre-filter.
